Dear Blogland,

Dear Blogland,

The Treasures household is experiencing Internet difficulties. These "difficulties" are a HUGE nuisance!!
Not only are they preventing me from posting any visual content they are also causing me to fall far behind on all of your amazing blogs. This is going to force me to spend LARGE amounts of time glued to the computer once said "difficulties" are resolved.  So please, for the sake of my family, (at the present moment) clean home and my vision can you slow down on the posts???

Sincerely,

Mrs. Treasures

P.S. Hope to be up and running by Wednesday!!

Bar envy

Do you think the kids will understand if I spend all the Christmas money recreating this?

Stop by The Willows Home & Garden blog to see the rest of it.

After you're done drooling over her bar area take a stroll inside.

Oh by the way, I'll finally be painting this weekend.

I know right? I can hardly believe it myself!

It's been a while..

It's been a while since we've visited the house of Treasures past. If your new to the blog you can start here then here after that you'll want to see this one, oh and then don't forget my teeny tiny Master bedroom. Now all that's left are the kids bedrooms!

First up, the Lil' man's dinosaur cave

This tree was my first attempt ever at painting. The plan was to continue the tree up on to the ceiling but sadly..

that never happened.

A year or so after I painted it I let the Lil' Man paint his initials on the trunk to look like it was carved.

I'll have to hunt a photo of that down and add it.

Anyhow,  aren't those curtains the cutest?

I bought plain cream tab top curtains and then called up my go to friend Marcie from Everyday Blessings and told her my idea of felt dinosaur tracks as well as using part of the sheets as a tie back. She came up with the brilliant idea of using burlap to cover the tabs and add a rugged affect.
Yes she was ahead of the times!
Once they were done, I sent Mr. Treasures outside to cut down some branches to use as curtain rods.
I think it turned out fantastic!

Marcie also made the dinosaur sign above the Lil' Man's bed.
I still have it. I can't bare to part with it.

This house was so tiny that we had to set the computer up in the lil' man's room.

I found these photos at Micheal's for a couple dollars each.

I bought the frames and matting separately.

Custom artwork for very little money!

I hung a pterodactyl with fishing wire from the ceiling,

Lousy photo,  but if you enlarge it you can see the little guy in the top left by the windows!

Across the short hallway,

Was Lil' Red's room....

However, I'm only able to find this photo of her playing with Mommy's shoes.

So we'll have to visit her room  another day.

Hope you're having a great weekend!

Anthro love and a Sales Rep....

Would you believe me if I told you that until Wednesday, I had never stepped foot in an Anthropologie store before?

I know, crazy right?

Well, the "Sales Rep" had a mixer he needed to attend in Newport Beach.
He decided to bring me along to introduce me to a few of his customers and to help land future customers as well.

So we headed out to Newport early so we could swing buy a couple of the offices he calls on.

Our first stop was lunch at Fashion Island.

Beautiful place to spend an afternoon.

Sadly we weren't there to do anything other than work so we didn't stay long.

I did manage to beg him to let me take a quick walk through Anthro.

It smelled like perfection and there was so much eye candy I wasn't sure what to look at first.

I knew I only had a few minutes so I had to be fast.

First was this gorgeous distressed bookshelf.

Filled with all sorts of fun stuff.

As I was speed walking through all the beautiful clothes I turned and saw this....

THE most beautifully vintage, cozy office space.

I HAD to sit and imagine all the goodness I could create and all the big money deals I could help close if only this were MY office. Then of course I had to have the moment documented.

Even if it was with a crappy blackberry photo.

This was another corner of the office.

and I'm not sure why, but this wall of mirrors on the brick make me happy.

It's all very Tracy Porter isn't it?

There were so many other gorgeous photo opportunities but at that moment work really was more important,

sort of.

Here's a fun blog if you're an Anthro junkie

Anyhow, I'll be sure to head back to this store the first chance I get and this time I'll bring a real camera!

A special thank you to the Rep for allowing me a few minutes of heaven during my work day!
