It all started in Nov. 2007, we moved into a new home and I was ready for some decor changes!! I started looking online which led me to Rate My Space. I spent quite a bit of time browsing the good, the bad and the down right ugly!! Mind you I was NEVER one of those rude people to actually say it was ugly. I just simply moved on. Then I found her.... Melaine from my sweet savannah, LOVE is all I can say! I drooled over everything she did and one day I realized there was a link to what she called her blog.
Well I don't need to tell you what happened next do I?
You know, you start following one, from there a couple more and before you know it you've got 100 blogs in your dashboard and you've started your own!
So here we are. I'm enjoying every bit of it and what it has to offer. I feel like I am closer to some of you than people actually in my life. Which got me thinking.... Do you even know what my home looks like?? I don't think you do! Maybe you've gotten a glimpse here and there, but I haven't really let you in.
Mostly because I never did get to make those changes I wanted to. I don't like much that's going on here decor wise so it's never been a priority to share it with you. I'm going to try and be a little better about that but to be honest I'm not ready to just JUMP in!
Sooo I decided instead of showing you where I'm at now, I'll show you where it all started...
This is the entry way to the Treasure's families first home. This was a tiny house but a HUGE home.
This is where I brought both of my children home.
Ok well sort of, Lil Man was 3 months old ;)
This is the home where they both had their first birthday parties,
learned to swim,
had their first day of school,
oh I could go on and on.
I didn't want to leave and although he loved it, it never quite had a hold on Mr. Treasures heart the same way it did mine.
This home didn't just hold sentimental value for the family reasons, it was also the home where I discovered my passion for decorating. It's where I got to live creatively and artfully.
I decided I'm going to drag this out as long as possible.
Hopefully giving me enough time to make a few changes to the new home before I share it with you ;)
I'll give you little pieces here and there so make sure you stop back by to see a little more of
Where it all started.

I really did love that little home. It was just TOO small. Lots of firsts in that home for the kids like you mentioned, but as the family grew...it was just too small. 1,100 sq feet for 2 adults, 2 kids and 2 (house) Dogs. Couldn't walk in it without running into a family member or a dog. I will always have great memories of it, but I just couldn't take it anymore. Mrs. Treasures has made many new memories in the new home already.
Mr Treasures
you are the sweetest! Thank you Angie! xoxo, Melaine
I understand exactly what you are saying here. I felt distraught leaving my last house because it was where I brought my son home, where he learned to walk, and where my I still had my doggie of 12 years. When I recently moved, I moved on from a lot of things and it was tough, but the change has been good. Thank you for sharing, I love getting to know you more! Xx Rayan

So loved reading this one! I completely understand what you mean about that first home . . . we are currently still in our first home (built it 9 years ago), and while the kitchen is oh-so small and I long for a little bit bigger space, this place is full of SUCH LOVE, that it will be hard to leave. LOVE this post, ang! Thanks for sharing it!
