PHEW! I am cutting this one close aren't I!?! It's a long story and I'll spare you all the details but it basically boiled down to no knobs at my Hobby Lobby and having to call in a favor. Thanks Loni!!
So I showed you this guy in yesterdays post but here's a refresher just in case....
I literally have had him in my garage for at least two years. I would say you can read about it "here" (insert hyperlink) but I am to lazy to sift back through and find the original post. So- take my word for it, he's been here a while.
I decided to use some left over muted turquoise blue/gray/green paint I had.
(You'll see in a minute why I described the color like that.)
Then I decided (even though it's been done a thousand times already) to add numbers to the drawer fronts.
I had never done it myself and always wanted to. I grabbed my stencils, some leftover black paint and got started...
At this point I had a pretty clear vision of what I wanted the end result to be.
I even tested out the knobs that I originally got for Lil' Red's dresser.
After lots and lots of distressing, a top coat of minwax and a trip to my MIL's for the remaining knobs, the end result was....
I'm really happy with how it turned out.
The only problem? I am a horrible photographer and the lighting in my home, mixed with the wall color really make it difficult to capture the true color of this piece.
In fact, even though in all the photos above the dresser looks, gray, sometimes green, it really is...
more of a muted turquoise, blue, gray.
The photo above is the closest I can get to it's true color.
Either way I really love how it turned out.
Angie
P.S. He's available for purchase if you're interested.

I Love the numbers that you put on the dresser. I'm seeing lots of folks do them lately. I have a dresser to do sometime in the future, I think the #'s would looked great on it.
Just found your blog today. Think I will look around a bit at your other work.
Thank you Ladies!! Glad you stopped by! :)
What a cute dresser!
