So I'm not much of a "green thumb" but as you get older you tend to want to give things a try. That mixed with the desire to broaden my daughters horizons, I decided we'd have a fruit and veggie garden. It all started last Christmas. I started with a theme in regards to the gifts we would buy for our kids. Last years theme was "everything outdoors" We purchased a soccer net, a tether ball, skates, jump ropes, etc. For my daughter I purchased a small dresser from an antique store and turned it into a potting bench for her. I can't seem to find the photos I took of it so I'll have to post those later. In the meantime here,s her first bell pepper. I should have photographed the excitement on her face when she saw it! It was priceless.
and our second one!!

EWWWW!
You know I hate spiders right? Not sure if I've mentioned that...
I love seeing the first vegetable appear...what a thrill! I did a post for you with the Nuts and candles!!
I remember when we planted tomatoes and I took my daughters out to see the first one... priceless!
That is such a great idea... love having an outdoor theme.. so exciting for them to see things grow... yikes to your spider!

I love love love when kids remind you how exciting things are....its like looking at life in such a whole new way. ahhhhh for spiders! I guess it can be more halloween decor.
It is really so exciting to see things grow - especially through the eyes of our kiddos! And yes, that spider is ginormous!
Chelsea
so next time we see you...give me some fresh herbs! cause I'll actually cook with them! :)
From a girl that can kill a silk plant I am in awe!
Spiders I say yikes to, but she somehow suspended is elegant close up.Funny my niece was walking around with a spider the size of my hand with its legs extended in tupperware. I said to her eeeeek what is that?!!!!! She looked at me matter of fact and said "It is a spider you silly!" Oh my. I made her release it. The end!
Happy, blessed, smile-filled day to you!
