Wish me luck!!

Alright- by now if you've been following along, you know that I have entered the working world after an 11 year stint as a SAHM. You know that I have a tendency to procrastinate whether I have plenty or little time.
And if you saw my last post you also know that I ALWAYS have good intentions.

Around 21, 22 days ago I "started" the....

That Leslie over at Words Of Me Project is having.  Now, as much as I know this project isn't about making a deadline, I still feel very strongly about completing it with everyone else. I want to be able to celebrate our creativeness together.

If I'm going to do that, I'll need to start making it a priority.

I've always waited for creativity to strike rather than seeking out ways to nurture it.

So if I'm going to change my ways and catch up,  I'll need to make a few adjustments.

Now, If this were the only place that I lacked conviction than I'd probably be ok.

Problem is, my whole life is lived with the "Oh well, I can do it tomorrow" attitude.

This has not worked out well for me or my family since returning to work.

In fact not only have I put my creative needs on the back burner but I've put my health and fitness there as well.

That's why starting tomorrow (ha ha get it? tomorrow?)   Ok, for real this time - I promise!

Starting tomorrow, I'm joining  Jen over at Jen's Ink Pen in the Couch to 5K plan.

This is where you come in, cause if I ever want.....

the chance for my bum to look like this, I'd better get committed!!

So wish me luck!!!   I'm gonna need it.

I've gotta go ice my leg now,  I think I pulled a muscle while doing 5 minutes on the elliptical.

Makeover Monday and Good Intentions...

It's been a while since I've done one of these!!

I had good intentions when I started it.

But....

Those went out the window quickly and before week two I was already posting other bloggers projects.

Then the full time job came and well, I didn't even have time for those.

It had been over a month since I last painted. So this weekend I decided....

It was TIME!!!

Who doesn't love a pedestal table??

This one has been waiting patiently for me to have time to paint.

Her future owner had also been very patient with me!
(Thanks Val)

So Saturday morning I went to work.

And before long the table looked like......

Such a gorgeous color right??

Let's look at it again....

(never mind the lousy paint job, there was a whole lot of sand paper in this babies future)

Now from here I was planning on putting on the top coat when....

Lil' Red returned home from a sleep over and was very sick.

So that top coat was going to have to wait.

A little bit of Motrin and a few hours later...

She was feeling well enough for me to head back out and work some more.

There was just enough time for the 1st coat of  Toasted Almond  and that was it.

My "Studio" doesn't have adequate lighting for evening painting.

Sunday morning I headed back out for a second coat  and a little....

distressing.

Now I guess it's not really fair for me to call this a Makeover just yet.

I didn't get the second coat of Toasted Almond on the base before snapping this photo.

Plus I'm not done distressing it either.

As I sit here at 10:00pm Sunday night it's still not done.

That's ok though, I got to paint so I feel great, and this lovely pedestal is one step closer to going home!

I think I'll finish her up tomorrow evening!!

See? Always good intentions!!

Treasures Thursday and a lil' sumpin sumpin at the end....

Well, I haven't posted anything since my last Treasures Thursday where I introduced you all to Nikki from Kreative Knack.

I even promised to finally pass on the awards that I received.

Didn't happen yet in case you thought you missed something ;)

I still plan to pass them on eventually.

In the meantime, check out these bad boys I scored quite a while ago.

Found these babies on cracklist for $10.00 each.

Amazing right????

I had a client in mind when I bought them but her budget took a turn for the worse and the project has grown cold.  Makes me kinda sad that they are just sitting in my garage waiting to be loved.

They were going to be a lovely shade of aquamarine

 but

now that they might  not end up in her home, I'm thinking a different color might be in order?

Haven't chosen one yet and even if I had, well you know how that story ends!!

busy busy busy

Happy Thursday everyone!!!

P.S. this.....

award goes to.....

and last but certainly not least....

Know, it has been FOR-EVER since I received this award.
I think your supposed to tell 10 things about yourself and pass it on.

Indulge if you'd like. We all know I've got waaaay to much going on to try and be creative enough to come up with 10 things!

I will simply say that being "trendy" isn't always a bad thing. Plus I might not have even choose your blog because I think your trendy. I picked 5 blogs that I love to read. 5 blogs that inspire me, make me laugh and share the same taste in fashion.

If you didn't make this list, don't be concerned.
I've got 3 more awards to catch up on!!!
