I had good intentions when I started it.
But....
Those went out the window quickly and before week two I was already posting other bloggers projects.
Then the full time job came and well, I didn't even have time for those.
It had been over a month since I last painted. So this weekend I decided....
It was TIME!!!
Who doesn't love a pedestal table??
This one has been waiting patiently for me to have time to paint.
Her future owner had also been very patient with me!
(Thanks Val)
So Saturday morning I went to work.
And before long the table looked like......
Such a gorgeous color right??
Let's look at it again....
(never mind the lousy paint job, there was a whole lot of sand paper in this babies future)
Now from here I was planning on putting on the top coat when....
Lil' Red returned home from a sleep over and was very sick.
So that top coat was going to have to wait.
A little bit of Motrin and a few hours later...
She was feeling well enough for me to head back out and work some more.
There was just enough time for the 1st coat of Toasted Almond and that was it.
My "Studio" doesn't have adequate lighting for evening painting.
Sunday morning I headed back out for a second coat and a little....
distressing.
Now I guess it's not really fair for me to call this a Makeover just yet.
I didn't get the second coat of Toasted Almond on the base before snapping this photo.
Plus I'm not done distressing it either.
As I sit here at 10:00pm Sunday night it's still not done.
That's ok though, I got to paint so I feel great, and this lovely pedestal is one step closer to going home!
I think I'll finish her up tomorrow evening!!
See? Always good intentions!!
