It's Treasures Thursday!!!

No April fools jokes here today!! I'm just going to show you my newest additions!! First up this little lovely came by way of Craigslist. Don't you just love that place?? If not, your not spending enough time looking around!! ;) I find some of the best deals on that site!

For $20.00 This old hutch was a steal!! It has all the glass doors-I just removed 2 before taking this photo. The top 2 shelves are also glass and it has a working light.
See....

Don't mind the swatch of color I painted. It's French Grey by Glidden. I'm thinking of painting the outside either cream or black and the inside grey.
Any thoughts??

The next find I basically coughed up a fur ball on. Let me tell you a little story.
Remember how bad Max looked? In case you don't you can click here (Just don't click till your finished reading this post! Haven't figured out how to make it open a second window yet) HA!

Well I broke down and finally took him and his younger brother Ace to the groomers.
I wasn't exactly happy about it either.
Not because I didn't want them clean or how much it costs to clean them but basically because I feel this is Mr. Treasures job.
You know, I take care of the kids, the house, the groceries yada yada you take care of the pool the yards and the dogs.
So after searching high and low for collars and their leash, wrangling them into the car along with my kiddos we were off.
Now throw in some traffic, hunting down a place i'd never been before you can see where my mood was headed.
We finally arrive and as i'm turning over the doggies I am suddenly in the eye of a fur ball tornado and the young lady insists on asking me questions that require more than a head nod.
My mood is worsening by the second and my mouth is coated with several different breeds of fur. Finally I am aloud to exit the storm.
Once outside coughing up a lung and spitting as ladylike as possible I hear a chuckle. I look up and this  woman waiting in her truck to collect the rest of her dog that I didn't inhale, is smiling at me.
She obviously already learned her lesson and now waits for curb side service (I will be doing the same from here on out!)
I smile back with what little dignity I had left and started to my car. When all of the sudden I noticed this...

In the back of her car.
I thought to myself  "what the heck, how much more could I embarrass myself at this point?"
So I walked back up to her window and asked what she planned to do with it?
She said she had just had a yard sale and this was one of the left overs.
Can you believe that???
So I asked "how much did you want for it"
"$5.00" she replied.
5.00!?!?
I said "You got change for a $10?"
and just like that,
I was no longer upset with Mr. Treasures for slacking off on his dog duties!!

Angie

P.S. I've decided to start selling some of my Treasures. Do you think I'm shooting myself in the foot by discussing my purchase prices???

P.s.s. I didn't forget about the give away I mentioned yesterday. Just trying to figure out what it should be. Check back tomorrow to find out what I decided!!

Hi Angie!~ That is a funny story! No you are not shooting yourself in the foot because you have to put some labor of love into these pieces, that is worth a lot more than you think!~ Happy Easter, I just made a quick little post for Easter:)
