Where did the time go??

It really seems like it was just yesterday when I was pregnant with both of these little monsters er I mean little gifts from heaven! :) It's hard to believe that my first born is 11 and in 6th grade. He's turning out to be such a wonderful young man. I've been blessed with this one! Extremely intelligent, devilishly handsome and kind to boot. This is a young man with determination. You tell him it's impossible and he won't stop until he makes it possible. This is a kid that I said "No you can not have a lap top for Christmas" at age 9. So he waited a while then asked me "Is it because I'm 9 or because it's expensive?" I said "Both!" So he waited again, this time till he was 10 and he said "Can I have a lap top now?" to which I replied "No." Again he asked me whether it was an age thing or a money thing.

This time I told him "It's a money issue. I'm not buying my 10 year old a lap top." A week went by and he came to me and told me he had the solution to the money issue. He created his own online game and called his friends to join. He began to tell me that he would start off slow with his friends and then he would build up. Requiring others to pay a small monthly fee to join. He then said that over time it would get large enough that advertisers would want to pay him to post things. This way he could buy his own lap top. Gotta love it!

Here he is on his first day of 1st grade:

And now on his first day of 6th grade and my daughters first day of 3rd grade:

Where do I start with this one!?! She's 8 going on 18. She is a TRUE Redhead in every way!!! She can be quick tempered, relentless and as feisty as you can imagine!! Really! don't let the following photos fool you!! Although she can be a handful at times I wouldn't have it any other way! This is one young lady who WILL be FIERCE. No wall flower here!! This girl WILL CONQUER what ever she puts her mind to and for that I couldn't be happier! I'll never forget my first parent teacher conference. Her teacher told me "This is a child that you will not have to worry about. She is a leader but in such a way that other children WANT to follow"

I should also tell you that she is a comedian at heart. Ever since she was a very little girl she has been making goofy faces or breaking out into a silly dance. As she's gotten older she has realized that this could work in her favor at certain times. Like when she's about to be punished or scolded for something! Here's a little walk down Silly face lane. Hope you enjoy! P.S. There's a video at the end of this post for my special friend who turns my lemons into laughter on a daily basis! ;)

Sometimes silly faces all on her own,

Sometimes convincing others to join her in her silly face movement,

No matter the occasion, it could be a simple bowl of ice cream with mom when your 3

Or a wedding when your 6

Possibly an awards ceremony for your big brother,

Or Halloween with friends

What ever the occasion rest assure, this little one will find a reason to be silly!! Now that I read through this post I realize that it is more like 4 unfinished posts rolled up into one. Can you blame me though? it's really hard to pull myself away from all of the other fabulous blogs I follow long enough to post one of my own! Anyhow I'll leave you with this, Mrs. Silly face is a HUGE music fan as well. From a very young age she has been a fan of the black eyed peas and of Fergie ( I know, please don't judge me for my choice in radio stations when my children were younger) In 2007 she had a chance to meet Fergie (YES I am a Rock Star mom - in my daughters eyes!) Here's the proof:

Here she is sporting her Blacked Eyed Peas shirt and

Saying hello to Fergie

Alright as promised here is the video of the cutest Red Head EVER singing "My Humps" by Fergie at 4 years old. I know - totally inappropriate but so stinkin' cute!!

Not sure why my pictures are posting so badly?? She has freckles- promise! ;)
