Ramalicious, Ramesicle, Boo, Momma, Lil’ Red and any other nickname we might have bestowed upon you over the last 12 years...

You have always been a silly.....

quirky.....

beautiful girl

who is never afraid to laugh at herself.

I have had a front row seat for all of your successes...

as well as your disappointments...

I have watched how your idea of a "Princess" has changed throughout the years...

and am always in awe of your fearlessness.

Whether it's holding your own against the boys...

playing Captain Hook in the school play...

or rockin' the flute...

Your desire to be unique and true to yourself always amazes me.

You are someone who cares about being a good friend...

even when that friend is an animal...

If it weren't for you, Daddy would have no one to watch the Lakers with...

or take to Father Daughter dances...

I'd have no one to do my hair and makeup....

or to paint redheaded self portraits for me to cherish forever...

The sun rises and sets with you Ramey....

The Year the Christmas Tree Stayed Up...

Yep, you read that title right.

2012, the year the Christmas tree stayed up and I mean up! From Christmas 2011 all the way through to Christmas 2012. There was a moment half way through the year where I thought I'd make the best of it. Almost convinced myself it was all planned out. I give you, The 4th of July Tree...

That was the one and only time it was decorated for any other holiday besides Christmas.

Truth be told, it only came down in January of 2013 because Mr. Treasures was tired of seeing it up and took it upon himself to bring it down. Why fake? Easy- I'm allergic to pine (sucks I know) but it is what it is. Why leave it up an entire year? Well, that is not so easy to answer.

2012 seemed to be a year that I gave up. I waived my white flag, surrendered to anything and ignored everything.

I had my moments, moments where I thought I was going to pull it together and somehow manage to be all things to all parts of my life and everyone in it.

I had moments, where I was able to see clearly, determine a goal and head off full speed ahead, in what later turned out to be about 85 directions at once. This obviously led me back to the waiving of said flag mentioned a moment ago.

Towards the end of 2012 there was a lot of painting. Which actually gave me a false sense of accomplishment. I somehow kept allowing myself to get swallowed up by all the success I was having. It seemed as though a ball was rolling downhill and I was strapped to it.

Both loving it and dreading it equally.

Loving it for obvious reasons.

I am a creative soul. I NEED to create.

To have others want to purchase what I have created or to trust me enough to transform furniture they already owned?

Well the feeling that gives me, only another creative soul could fully understand.

Why the dread?

I am still working full time (reluctantly) and I am still a wife and mother.

If I am painting, I am not with my family.

It's was and is a tough balance for me.

The Christmas tree obviously represented everything that just didn't or shouldn't matter.

Anything that took my focus away from what really mattered and at the same time, it became a constant reminder of what was suffering all around me.

By the end of the year I was ready to for it to stop. I was ready to be better in 2013. I was ready to find a balance and a peace that I had not had in all of last year or several years prior.

This is it! 2013!

This will not be a repeat of last year. This year will be different. This year will be better.

And to start it off?

This will be my last post on All My Treasures.

Yep, This blog is being "taken down" just like the Christmas tree.

Sidewalk Sunday

It has been months since I've blogged! It has been months since I've even read a blog!!
I am still working full time and my furniture business has really taken off. Between those two and of course the most important job, being a mother and a wife well, I just haven't had the time. I post and update to the fan page on Facebook often. So if you want to keep up on the Treasure haps then you should probably check in there! :)

Now for a quick Sidewalk Sunday....

I was on my way home from work last week and traffic was unusually bad. I decided to take a detour and cut through a housing track where Mr. Treasure and I used to live. That's when I spotted a "junk" pile at the curb of one of the homes.

It was really dark so I couldn't see that well but I didn't let that discourage me. I got out (dressed for my office job) and I managed to spot these gorgeous infinity chairs...

There were two with arms and two without. Nothing wrong with them!!! Well except the fact that they were U.G.L.Y. but that's nothing a little paint and material can't fix!

Moral of the story? Don't be afraid of detours, the dark or digging through trash piles in front of someones home while in 3 inch heels....

Remember me?

Hello!!

It has been forever since I've blogged. So many projects and things happening at the Treasure household! Just wanted to check in and let you know I will be posting some new finds this week and fill you in on all that has been going on. Plus, I have some very exciting news to share very soon. The kind of news that will require you to pack up and move with me!! Don't worry, I'll do the packing - you'll just need to move! All the details coming up later this week! Until then, check out this chair makeover a friend of mine just finished!

She was on the hunt for new chairs for her office when she stumbled across the gorgeous chevron chair at Home Goods. At $200 a chair (upper left photo) she decided she could replicate it for a lot less. So she went on the hunt and found two for $40 (upper right photo) great bones, but in need of some serious help!
She got out her trusty paint brush, worked her magic on the cushions and for a fraction of the cost, ended up with two amazing chairs for her office!

She is one talented lady! I'm happy to say, she will be a part of the big move!

Here is where my heart is...

Can't even imagine my life without my children. I didn't grow up day dreaming of white picket fences or being a mother but when it happened i knew I was meant for it. There is nothing else on this earth that I would rather do.

Happy Mother's Day to all my fellow partners in motherhood.
